Missed Appointment Policy

Our goal is to provide quality individualized medical care in a timely manner. No-shows, late shows and cancellations inconvenience those individuals who need access to veterinary care. Each day we have calls from clients who need to have their animal seen due to sickness or injury. We want to be available for all patients that are in need when possible. We would like familiarize you of our policy regarding missed appointments.

A missed appointment is when you fail to show up for an appointment without a phone call, or cancel without at least 24-hour notice.

A veterinary/client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments, and ask that you give us the courtesy of a call when you are unable to keep your appointment. As a courtesy, we reach out via texts, emails and reminder calls days ahead of your appointment. However, you are responsible to remember your appointment regardless.

How to Cancel Your Appointment: To cancel your appointment, please call 706-654-1111 at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time.

Appointment No Show Policy: A “no-show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart as a “no-show”. This includes arriving 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment.

If any of the above scenarios occur, we will ask for a deposit equal to the cost of an office visit ($44.00 -$60.00) when we reschedule your appointment. You will be able to use your deposit to pay for the visit. If you cancel or no-show for that appointment, your deposit is non-refundable.

First Time Dog and Cat Exams $1.00: Our $1.00 first exam special for dogs and cats is very valuable but is only available for your originally booked appointment. If a missed appointment occurs, a full exam fee deposit will be required and you will lose the $1.00 exam special for your next booked appointment.

Surgery Appointment No Show Policy: A surgery “no-show” is a client who misses a surgery appointment without providing 24 hours notice of cancellation. When the appointment is rescheduled, we will ask for a 50% deposit of surgical charges to reschedule. If you cancel or no-show for your rescheduled appointment, your deposit in non-refundable.
